Projects & internships
The work you finish with is the part that travels.
Nobody interviewing you will read your syllabus. They will ask what you built, why you built it that way, and what broke. Project work is structured around being able to answer that.
How project work runs
Five stages, with a mentor at every checkpoint.
Milestones exist so problems surface while there is still time to change approach — not in the final week.
- 01
Brief
You and your mentor agree a project scoped to where you actually are, not to a fixed template.
- 02
Build
Work runs in milestones so problems surface early, while there is still time to change approach.
- 03
Review
Your mentor reviews the work at each checkpoint — the code and the decisions behind it.
- 04
Document
You write up what it does, why you built it that way, and what you would change. This is the part most people skip.
- 05
Present
You walk through the project under questioning, which is how it will happen in an interview.
Representative work
The kind of thing you would build.
Briefs are agreed individually, so these are illustrations of scope rather than a fixed list.

What the internship component is, and is not
It is project-based work reviewed by a mentor, producing something you can demonstrate. It is not employment, it does not carry a salary, and it does not constitute a job offer. The internship certificate is issued on completion of an eligible component — each program page states plainly whether one is included.
Portfolio
Good work presented badly reads as weak work.
Every project is written up as well as built. This is what the write-up needs to contain.
- A short written case study for each project, not just a repository link.
- The problem, your approach, and the trade-off you are least sure about.
- Evidence it runs — a deployed link, a recording, or clear instructions.
- What you would do differently with more time.
By domain
Every domain has its own project briefs.
Each domain page lists what you could build in it, and which programs deliver it.
